Cast List for:

OUT

It is often the case that these blurbs begin with a thank you to everyone who came to audition. Obviously, we would like to offer the same thank you — for everyone’s time, effort, talent, enthusiasm. To put it simply: y’all slayed.

But we would be remiss not to acknowledge that this show is deeply personal — yes, to us as a creative team, but also to the lived experience of so many people at Harvard and beyond. And the thing that astounded us most of all over the course of this past week was the willingness of every auditionee to grapple with this material and — especially for the writing team — the new perspectives each auditionee brought to each character. Our understanding of Oliver, May, Kasey, Mrs. Gan, Sophie, Linda — and yes, even Meg, Greg, and Craig — grew more nuanced with each person’s take, and we thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for giving us this gift.

Now onto the boring stuff.

Per HRDC policy, we cannot initiate a conversation with you during signing period. That being said, we would be more than happy to talk to you about literally anything at all — the story, the characters, scheduling logistics, the HUDS menu — and if you would like to do so, please email our Stage Managers, Julia Grullon ([email protected]) and Stephanie Kaiser ([email protected]).

Our performance dates and times are as follows:

April 6th at 7:30pm
April 7th at 7:30pm
April 8th at 2:00pm
April 8th at 7:30pm
April 9th at 2:00pm

If you wanna be in the show, you gotta make the show dates. If you can’t make any of these times or have any significant conflicts the two weeks immediately prior, please reach out to Steph and Julia.

Our first read-through will take place from 10am - 1pm on Saturday, January 4th. If you cannot make the read-through, please reach out to Steph and Julia.

We cannot share actors with “Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812” or “Atalanta.” If you are considering signing onto OUT alongside another show, you MUST reach out to Steph and Julia (as well as the stage manager(s) of that show) before signing.

Please also note that this show deals intimately with themes of queer identity/Asian American identity, and contains potentially triggering material. If you have any questions or concerns about the show’s content, please reach out to Steph and Julia (who will then connect you with the creative team).

That’s all, folks! Thanks again, so much, for sharing your time, energy, and heart with us this past week!
