Ahoy there, matey! A hearty cheer an’ fair winds on yer triumph! Congratulations to our new pirate crew!

To all our auditionees: Thank you so much for the hard work you have put into your auditions this week. It was a joy to watch and work with you all, and you should be so proud of yourselves, no matter what. Thank you for being willing to be vulnerable and to share a part of yourselves with us; we hope that you will continue to share your talents with the world in the future. To our new cast: Congratulations on your spectacular performances in your auditions. It was truly a privilege to have such an amazingly talented group of actors to choose from, and you certainly did not make our decision easy. We could not be more excited to take on this voyage with you this season!

You will receive an email on Wednesday night from our stage manager Neeraja Kumar with onboarding details. You MUST complete the onboarding form in her email to be part of the show.

IMPORTANT: You MUST confirm that you are able to make all show dates and times as well as strike immediately after our final show.
If you decide to also sign onto another show, please contact the stage managers of both shows before signing. If you have also been cast in Get a Clue, you will not be able to do both shows at once since we share residency times.

- Nov. 16, 2pm (immediately followed by strike)

Note: Rehearsals will begin September 17th, and there will be a full cast libretto read-through on September 20th (time and location TBD).

A young man indentured to pirates until his 21st birthday. Trusting, inexperienced, and genuine. Upon leaving the pirates, he must navigate between finding his own calling and acting upon his duty, to which he is always bound no matter how absurd. Love interest of Mabel.

Mabel

A young woman, the youngest of the Major General’s daughters. A stratosphere-scaling soprano, she first appears ditzy and shallow, but proves herself to be a character showcasing bravery and agency throughout the show. Love interest of Frederic.

Frederic’s ex-nurserymaid who mistakenly made baby Frederic apprentice to a pirate (and not a pilot). Now an opinionated and street-smart 47-year-old woman, she needs to leave the band of pirates with Frederic in order to not be alone, and manipulating him is not beneath her.

The swashbuckling leader of the pirates. Daring and full of bravado, he is actually a horrible pirate leader: he won’t allow his men to attack orphans, meaning that everyone they ever attack says they’re an orphan.

The father of Mabel, Edith, Kate, Isabel, and all the other maidens – a Major General knowledgeable of every random fact in existence (except for how to lead an army).

This policeman's lot is not a happy one for sure – called in by Frederic to defeat the pirates, they first have to vanquish their cowardice before even considering vanquishing the pirates. (Will be playing pirates in Act 1 and police in act 2 - see information on “Pirates” as well)

A rollicking band of polite but incompetent pirates: they never attack a weaker enemy, and when they attack a stronger one, they are always vanquished. They connive to bring in a priest and marry the Major General’s daughters on the spot.
