Our finalized cast list is below with information about each character/track. Please read the entirety of this blurb before signing for any role.

All actors MUST be free for each of our performances, as well as the mandatory strike on Sunday, November 10. If you have any significant conflicts from October 14-November 10, please reach out to us to discuss these before signing. Our performance dates/times are below:

Please reach out to our stage managers if you have any questions or concerns about the rehearsal timeline and time commitment. Due to overlapping residencies, we are unable to share actors with The Penningtons, Spurned, Black Playwrights’ Festival, Aida, or Romeo & Juliet. To perform in more than one show, you must first reach out to both shows’ stage managers.

Because this show takes place in the Loeb Drama Center, all actors MUST read the TECH REQ REQUIREMENTS and SIGN UP FOR A TECH REQ at this link: go.hrdctheater.org/f24techreqs before signing for a role.

When we first meet Anya, she is a lost soul, but one with great strength, pride, determination, and dignity. As the story progresses, she begins to discover her sense of self and the possibility that she may be the missing daughter of Tsar Nicholas.

The prince of St. Petersburg’s black market, Dmitry is an opportunist trying to make it on the streets of Russia. He creates the scheme to find an Anastasia impersonator in order to gain the reward for her safe return. He’s tough, persuasive, and daring.

The Dowager Empress’s confidante and lady-in-waiting. She’s compassionate, respectful, and good at her job, but has a frustration that she lets out in the Russian Neva Club each night. She rekindles a passionate love affair with Vlad when he comes to Paris.
