Black Playwrights' Festival Callbacks

Black CAST would like to sincerely thank everyone who auditioned for the 2023 Black Playwrights Festival! Auditioning is no small feat and we are both humbled and honored that you all chose to share your talents with us.

Callbacks will be held from 6:30 PM-10 PM TOMORROW, Sept 10 in Rehearsal Room C at the Loeb Drama Center. We ask for all actors to report at 6:30 PM and folks will be dismissed as we progress through each piece. Please be on time and no preparation is necessary.

- THERAPIST - Any age. Warm, almost nurturing. It is very important that she is racially ambiguous, or else neither Black nor White. The idea is that she has no “side” to take: that she really could be anybody.
- KENDRA - Mid 30s. Black. In a suit, and very put together. Silk press.
- FRANCES - Late 30s. White. Blonde with beach waves; very classic mom energy.
